Copilot AI training: TotalEnergies' HR Promptathon
Copilot AI training for 45 employees from TotalEnergies' People & Services teams: an AI Show, then a Promptathon in 8 groups on a real HR case.

On 9 July 2026, 45 employees from TotalEnergies' People & Services teams gathered at the TotalEnergies Tower in La Défense for a Copilot AI training session in a brand-new format. One hour of AI Show to lay the foundations of generative AI applied to HR challenges, then two and a half hours of Promptathon: 8 groups competing on Microsoft Copilot, each led by a designated Tech Leader, all working on a very real internal reorganisation case. Designed and delivered by AI Sisters, this Copilot AI training turned an upskilling session into a team challenge, with certificates awarded to the top three teams.
Helping a team that already uses Copilot every day to go further
The pre-training questionnaire changed everything: 89% of respondents already use Copilot daily, 33% of them for all their tasks. So the challenge was not adoption. It lay elsewhere: 56% describe themselves as daily users who want to learn to use it better, and 81% want to know more about security and confidentiality before going further.
Security as the first barrier
81% of respondents want to know more so they can use AI responsibly. 22% have only a vague idea of the rules and stick to non-confidential cases. Until this question is addressed, usage stays limited to low-stakes tasks.
Daily users stuck at the first level
56% use Copilot every day but want to learn to use it better. The time-consuming tasks they mention are always the same: quality checks in Excel, creating slides and content, summaries and meeting notes, searching for scattered information. All areas where AI makes a real difference — as long as you know how to steer it.
Moving from demonstration to practice
Generative AI awareness alone was not enough. The aim was for every participant to actually use the tool during the afternoon, on a topic that matters to the organisation — not on a made-up exercise.
Your teams already use Copilot but are stuck at the first level? That is exactly where our training starts.

Our Copilot AI training programme for TotalEnergies
An afternoon built in two parts, delivered by three AI Sisters trainers in the combined Congrès A and B rooms of the TotalEnergies Tower in La Défense. One hour to understand, two and a half hours to do.
Step 1: AI Show — generative AI applied to People & Services challenges (2pm – 3pm)
One hour of AI upskilling through demonstrations, focused on the real issues faced by HR and People & Services teams. Confidentiality, security and good sharing practices — the participants' top expectation — are covered from the outset.

Step 2: Forming the 8 groups and appointing Tech Leaders
The 45 participants are split into 8 competing groups. Each group appoints a Tech Leader, responsible for driving Copilot and coordinating the team's prompts. A role that creates instant engagement and stops the less confident profiles from dropping off.
Microsoft Copilot
Step 3: Promptathon in 4 rounds (3pm – 5.30pm)
Two and a half hours in real conditions, on a country-by-country reorganisation case. The architect: rebuild a coherent structure from the employee database, using Copilot in Excel. The detective: spot the gaps between the new structure and internal rules. The spokesperson: produce a summary note and an FAQ for the teams concerned. The face-to-face: prepare interviews tailored to each affected profile.

Step 4: Presentations, ranking and certificate ceremony
Each group presents its work to all participants. The top three teams receive a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place certificate, signed by Emma and Chloé Pariente. A finale that anchors the session in the group's memory — and makes people want to play again.

AI Show, Promptathon, real organisational case: every programme is built on your documents, your tools and your teams' actual level.

AI use cases in People & Services teams
The AI Show was not a theoretical demonstration. Seven HR use cases were played out live in front of participants, on documents and formats they handle every day: employee databases, headcount reports, training plans, CVs, meeting notes, activity reports.

Talent Development and recruitment
→ Cross-check a CV against a job description to get a gap table: requirement, what the CV shows, risk level
→ Generate a targeted interview guide directly from those gaps
→ Prepare interview guides tailored to each employee profile affected by a reorganisation
→ Produce the related talking points, adjusted to the tone expected on a people-sensitive topic
HR management and data
→ Make a headcount report speak: key points, gap table vs target, alerts to watch
→ Spot the hidden KPIs in an 830-row employee database, cross-referenced with the Group HR Objectives note
→ Get the exact Excel formulas for a 120-row training plan, with the cell to put them in and an explanation
→ Check a file's consistency and cross-reference several data sources
Internal communications and editorial
→ Turn a messy draft of notes into clean meeting minutes, with decisions and actions identified
→ Digest a 14-page annual HR activity report and present it in 8 slides in the group's brand style
→ Write a summary note with an FAQ to support a transformation project
→ Adapt the same message to two opposite audiences, senior management and frontline teams, without losing anyone along the way
Document analysis and agreements
→ Scrutinise a memorandum of agreement to reveal its risk areas
→ Get a structured table: flaw identified, article concerned, correction needed
→ Compare an organisation project with the internal charter and list the gaps, rule by rule
→ Query internal documentation and procedures to find a specific rule
