Introduction

In the unforgiving world of media, Molotov.tv, a major French streaming player, has distinguished itself by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the heart of its activities.

AI Sisters is proud to have supported Molotov.tv in this digital transformation from A to Z, by offering a personalized approach that includes a phase of acculturation of employees, intensive workshops by profession, an in-depth audit and the development of tailor-made tools.

In just 4 and a half months of support, Molotov developed his own AI text-to-speech tool, making it possible to generate detailed summaries of each program published on the platform, with the exact list of guests.

That means summaries of your favorite shows, such as “What an era!” , “Télématin”, “Top Chef”, “Les Rencontres du Papotin” and “Married at First Regard”, will now be generated by an AI tool developed internally by the Molotov teams, in collaboration with AI Sisters.

From the start, Jean-David Blanc, director of Molotov.tv, founder ofAllociné, showed a clear ambition: “AI must be everywhere at Molotov”. We were seduced by this enlightened vision and were thrilled to collaborate with such a determined and daring leader.

Thanks to his commitment and his ability to anticipate technological trends, the integration of Artificial Intelligence at the heart of Molotov.tv's activities took place quickly and successfully.

Phase 1: Captivating AI awareness

It all started with a Breathtaking show of two half-days for the 130 employees of Molotov.tv.

Everyone has already heard about AI, ChatGPT, and other similar technologies, but knowing how to best practice and apply them is a whole different story. This is why the AI acculturation show was a crucial step in our support.

In two half-days, the objective was to present them with as many use cases of Generative AI as possible, using the prompting method, tools such as ChatGPT, writing texts, creating images and videos.

Punctuated by fun demonstrations and even songs, this show made it possible to raise awareness among all employees, from developers to the marketing team to HR, of the possibilities offered by AI and to arouse their enthusiasm.

During the show, everyone discovered the multiple facets of AI and its concrete applications. This was the first phase of our support, and the tools presented did not leave the teams indifferent.

The show therefore made it possible to lift the veil on the issues related to the implementation of AI and to inspire Molotov.tv employees so that they could make the most of these innovative tools. As soon as the show was released, ideas began to emerge and emulsify in all teams, thanks to our concrete and fun approach, far from boring theoretical training.

To ensure optimal monitoring and handling of the tools presented, we have set up support on a dedicated platform, making it possible to answer questions and help employees adopt good habits.

Phase 2: Intensive and targeted in-service workshops

After the Acculturation show, it was essential to move on to practical implementation so that employees could really integrate new skills and take the right reflexes when it comes to using AI.

It is all well and good to have seen everything that AI was capable of, but it is another thing to have to apply it concretely in your work.

That's why we organized workshops intensive courses of 3 hours, specifically designed for each company department and adapted to each business. These workshops included question and answer sessions, demonstrations of AI tools specific to each department and especially simulation exercises.

During these workshops, we ensured that each participant benefited One-to-one phases, in order to best meet their needs and to help them overcome any difficulties. Acculturation without practice is not as effective, which is why we have focused on learning through action and personalized support.

All teams participated in these workshops to ensure that everyone could benefit from this targeted training and adopt the right reflexes in the use of AI. Thanks to this concrete and personalized approach, the employees of Molotov.tv were able to truly integrate the new skills and feel comfortable using AI tools.

Our AI Sisters method, inspired by American best practices, is based on training employees to identify time-consuming and tedious tasks. The objective is to change their mindset and make them see AI as an ally, a sister, rather than a competitor who will take their place.

Chez Molotov.tv, this change in mindset has exceeded all of our expectations.

Phase 4: Development of tailor-made AI tools and training in their use

The phase of tool development customized for Molotov. TV was marked by close and targeted collaboration with the Molotov teams to develop hand in hand with them a prompt engineering platform.

The objective was to automatically generate, for each program, using a text-to-speech tool and an adapted prompt, the transcript, summary and exact guest list of the episode of the show. Molotov is the first French company to have such a tool. Prompts for programs like “C à Vous”, “Quelle Époque”, “Quelle Époque”, “Quotidien” and “Les Rencontres du Papotin” were among the first to be deployed.

Here are the key steps in this process:

1) Identification of needs : In collaboration with the Molotov.tv teams, we identified processes where the integration of AI could optimize the management and analysis of video content. The aim was to reduce repetitive tasks and improve the efficiency of editorial teams.

2) Design and planning : We have developed a user-friendly platform for the development and evaluation of prompts. This platform allows Molotov.tv teams to test, visually assess and refine prompts before they are put into production, ensuring precise adaptation to content needs.

3) Development and integration : The platform was developed over a period of three months, with a particular focus on the user interface to ensure easy adoption by all teams. Prompts for programs like “C à Vous”, “Quelle Époque”, “Quelle Époque”, “Quotidien” and “Les Rencontres du Papotin” were among the first to be deployed.

4) Tests and adjustments : Rigorous tests have been conducted to ensure that the prompts generated meet Molotov.tv's editorial criteria. An acceptability metrics system has been put in place for each prompt, guaranteeing constant quality and continuous improvement.

5) Monitoring and continuous evolution : Our commitment does not end with the production of tools. We ensure regular monitoring and adjust the functionalities according to user feedback and technological developments.

This partnership allowed Molotov.tv to innovate in its content management approach, thus improving operational efficiency and offering its teams cutting-edge tools for evaluating and improving multimedia content. At AI Sisters, we believe that the success of integrating custom AI tools is based on continuous training for employees and close collaboration to refine AI responses, thus making teams actors in technological innovation.

Thanks to this tailor-made support process, Molotov.tv became the first French player to offer an innovative text-to-speech tool for generating program summaries. This solution allowed the company to improve efficiency, reduce time-consuming tasks, and stand out in the competitive media landscape.

Conclusion:

Molotov was a perfect case study for us at AI Sisters. All the ingredients were there for a successful transformation, including a strong entrepreneurial spirit that facilitated the adoption and integration of AI across all business departments.

Our support paid off and allowed Molotov to become a real model in terms of AI integration. Employees have become true ambassadors of AI, the word “prompt” is now used in all services.

Our support continues with weekly meetings with the development team, and numerous projects are still ongoing to integrate AI into all aspects of the business.

Our success at Molotov even went beyond borders, and we were recommended to Fubo, the American streaming giant that bought Molotov in 2022. We started to support Fubo in March 2024 using the exact same method and we can't wait to see the first results.

We are convinced that our approach, combining a proven method and an entrepreneurial spirit, can help many businesses transform the way they work through AI.

There may be a long way to go, but we are ready to take up the challenge and support all businesses that want to embark on this exciting adventure.

Together, we can shape the future and unleash the full potential of artificial intelligence. The transformation has only just begun, we can assure you!
